This summer, the Wynn Summer Classic 2022 ran along the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

This year, the Wynn Summer Classic consisted of dozens of events with buy-ins ranging from $500 to $5,500, including poker variants like Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha 8 or Better, HORSE and 8-Game Mix. The series offered on $15.8 million in guaranteed prizes, including seven events with seven-figure guarantees.

Long-time talented poker pro Victor Ramdinreturned to the winner’s circle for the first time since 2019. He shipped the $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Eventa guaranteed $100,000 tournament at the Wynn Summer Classic on June 11.

Ramdin, who resides in Las Vegas, won $44,013 in a one-on-one arrangement with the runner-up Brian Nadelwho received $39,725 for his efforts. Natasha Stamma German poker player finished in third place for $20,258, while the talented pro Ari Engel was fourth place, good for $13,884. The tournament attracted 194 participants, creating a prize pool of $189,150 at the luxurious casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

For Ramdin, it’s been a while for a player who was once among the highest-earning tournament players in the world. He now has over $5 million in live tournament cash, according to Hendon Mob. His highest tally was $1,331,889 in 2006 when he won the $10,000 WPT Foxwoods Poker Classic. He has 57 World Series of Poker wins among his impressive resume.

On July 12, a $1,100 buy-in, $200,000 GTD No-Limit Hold’em tournament was held at the Wynn Summer Classic 2022. The event attracted 529 runners and offered a prize pool of $518,420 to the top 53 finalists, including Chad Stewart (10th – $9,811), Eric Siegel (13th – $7,750), Hayato Kitajima (24th – $3,856), Kami Hudson (32nd – $3,368), Bob Shao (45th – $2,569), and Antoine Bogard (53rd – $2,569).

Heads-up, it was a pair of consummate pros in Frank Lagodich and Jeremy Kottler. The former eventually won the tournament for $107,165, while Kottler, who last November won the Wynn Fall Classic $3,500 2021 Championship for $643,000, had to settle for second place and $69,987 in price.

It marked the third six-figure score of Lagodich’s career and helped boost his lifetime earnings to over $630,000 according to the Hendon Mob.

Jeff Petronack wins one of the last events

One of the final tournaments on the Wynn Summer Classic 2022 schedule was a $550 buy-in, $100,000 GTD No-Limit Hold’em event, which drew 435 entrants and more than doubled the guarantee creating a prize pool of $208,800.

The top 44 finishers got a piece of it, including Yiannia Liperis (10th – $3,775), Gladys Landegger (18th – $2,143), Scott Siler (25th – $1,634), Gavin Munroe (35th – $1,427), and Eric Siegel (44th – $1,247).

At the final table, Minnesota jeff petronack beat Pennsylvania Danny Vo heads-up to claim the title and top prize of $45,607. According to the Hendon Mob, it was Petronack’s second-highest career score after earning $48,799 for finishing second in the 2012 MSPT Meskwaki Casino.
