Six players out of a field of 1,073 entrants remain in the €5,300 EPT Monte Carlo Main Event and the conclusion of the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour presented by Monte-Carlo Casino®️ is fast approaching. The biggest slice of the €5,204,050 prize pool is still up for grabs when a winner is crowned at Sporting Monte Carlo’s Salle des Etoiles on Saturday 6 May 2022.
Best placed to win the top prize of €939,840 is Morten Hvam with 7,350,000 chips, which is enough for 92 big blinds. It is already certain that a new first-time EPT Main Event champion will be crowned at the circuit’s second biggest stop on the French Riviera. The last former champion was Niall Farrell, who became the first casualty on the penultimate day and failed to become the third double winner in the popular live poker series.
